OSHAWA -- The Oshawa Generals are not being rewarded for strong efforts these days.
Despite playing evenly with the London Knights, and outshooting them by one Sunday at the GM Centre, the Generals lost for the 11th time in the past 12 games, 4-1.
Christian Thomas scored with a man advantage 3:39 into the third period, tying the game briefly, but the Knights replied with two of their own on the power play and another into an empty net.
Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Nazem Kadri and captain Justin Taylor led Knights with a goal and an assist each. Kadri set up Taylor for the winner and scored himself, both on third-period power plays.
Leigh Salters, 1:23 into the game, and Jared Knight, with 15 seconds left, scored the others.
Kevin Bailie made his first start in nine games, and was strong in goal for the Generals, stopping 28 of 31 shots he faced.
Michael Hutchinson was even better for the Knights, earning the game's first star after making 32 saves.
The Generals, now last in the league with an 8-13-3-0 record, have three games in three days next weekend. They're in Ottawa Friday and at home against Brampton Saturday and Niagara Sunday afternoon.
