Breen traded to Erie Otters

Defenceman dealt by Saginaw Spirit

UXBRIDGE -- Chris Breen is on the move.

The Uxbridge resident was traded to the Erie Otters on Tuesday along with a fifth round pick in 2009 from the Saginaw Spirit, who received Jordan Skellett and a seventh round pick in the same draft in return.

Breen, a towering 6-foot-7 blue-liner collected an assist and nine minutes in penalties in six games with Saginaw this season. The fourth year veteran has played 125 OHL games, all with Saginaw, registering a goal and nine assists to go along with 118 minutes in penalties.

The 19-year-old, who was selected 125th overall by the Spirit in the 2005 OHL Priority Selection, is expected to be in the lineup for the Otters tonight when they head to Peterborough to face the Petes. Friday the Otters visit Oshawa and Saturday they are in Barrie.
