Let's put a face to those who vandalize

To the editor: If you talk to the residents of northeast Bowmanville, you will discover our community is slowly and steadily being defaced by graffiti. Residents who take pride in the curb appeal of their homes are rethinking their plans. Solar lights; garbage cans; pagoda lanterns missing. Cars with slit tires; air let out of tires; car interiors slit and sprayed with paint. Are we talking about Bowmanville or an inner city? They say such behaviour is indicative of larger issues. Is this what people who take pride in home ownership, need to face each week? Let's put a face to this mischief. Call the police every time something happens. Maybe the police need to step up to the plate and watch our community a little closer. If the police tell you they don't have the manpower to watch our neighbourhood, don't just stop there, let our MPP know what you think. Let's put a face to those who are damaging our community.Cherie RakBowmanville
