To the editor:
Can you and your readers stand another letter about people riding their bicycles on the sidewalk?
It is very dangerous for people to ride their bikes on the sidewalk. I have no sight in my right eye, and therefore I have no peripheral vision. I cannot see to get out of the way if a bike rider comes along, and therefore it is very dangerous for me and the bike rider. If I was to be struck by the bike, I or anyone else for that matter could be seriously injured or even killed.
I realize that most people who do this do not read the paper, but if it stops one person then it will be worth it. Just to let everyone know, I recently heard, on the news, that a lady was killed by a sidewalk bike rider in Toronto. That is all it said. I do not know if it is the only incident or not, but people should be more careful.
