WHITBY -- There are two chances for people to give blood next week.

Canadian Blood Services has a blood donor clinic from 4-8 p.m. at St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church, 130 Watford St., Brooklin, on Monday, March 24.

The second will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Rd. East, Whitby, on Friday, March 28.

According to Canadian Blood Service's website, blood transfusions are needed in Canada about every minute of every day.
