UXBRIDGE -- Two Uxbridge residents have been charged in connection with a Beer Store theft caught on videotape in April.
According to Durham Regional Police, on Tuesday, April 14 at about 1:30 a.m., two men using shovels smashed their way through the glass front door of the Uxbridge Beer Store on Main Street North in Uxbridge. Nine cases of beer were swiped during the incident, according to police.
Police asked for the public's assistance in the matter, releasing a video of the break-in, captured on the Beer Store surveillance camera.
The investigation has led to two Uxbridge men being charged. Kristofor Graham, 23, and John Brook, 25, both of Sandford Road in Uxbridge, face charges of break and enter, wearing a disguise, and possession of break-in instruments.
Mr. Brook was already being held at the Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay, on an unrelated charge of attempted murder in connection to a shooting incident in Uxbridge on April 25.
