Hot water tanks out at Uxbridge hall

Township digs into budget 'savings' for funding

Jun 17, 2009 - 12:04 PM

UXBRIDGE -- Uxbridge will have to find cash to replace an ailing hot water tank at one of its community halls. The water tank at Sandford Hall, where a daycare operates, is leaking and can't be fixed, said Bob Ferguson, Uxbridge's facilities manager.

"It has been looked at by two plumbers and both have determined that replacement is the only option," he said.

The cost of a new tank tops $3,400 and wasn't in the 2009 budget, noted Mr. Ferguson. The cash will have to "come from savings in the 2009 parks and recreation overall budget", he said.
