Popular motivator to lead weekly sessions

UXBRIDGE -- A series of interactive workshops starting this month are designed to empower young women, say organizers.
The Uxbridge Youth Centre, 34 Brock St. W., is launching a six-week program, Confident Girls Workshop, beginning Monday, June 29. The sessions, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., continue Mondays until Aug. 10, and will be led by Monique Howat, a popular youth motivator, according to the youth centre.
"Monique has been featured internationally in e-zines, magazines, radio and web podcasts."
Each workshop will feature a different topic, including confidence basics, the savvy problem-solver, relationships 101, taking control, staying pumped and girls' choice.
The workshops are for girls aged 13 to 16, and the cost to attend, including all materials, is $60 each.
