Memorial fund set up for Slaughter's son, fiancé

OSHAWA -- Former Durham College star Bonnie Slaughter will be laid to rest this weekend.

The funeral for the 26-year-old Oshawa native who was found dead in her Norwood home last week, is slated for Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oshawa's Kingsview United Church, while visitations are being held Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E).

Arrangements to establish a trust fun for Slaughter's two-year-old son Colton and her fiancé Bill Crowdis have been made. Donations to 'In Memory of Bonnie Slaughter' can be made at any CIBC location throughout Canada. Information for the pay line on a cheque is as follows: IN MEMORY OF BONNIE SLAUGHTER 02142/54-27088

Also, donations can be dropped off at the Durham College and University of Ontario Institute of Technology Department of Athletics during business hours.
