Members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #606 announced the Easter Parade scheduled for Saturday, March 22 has been cancelled due to the heaps of snow that have been dumped on Pickering. City officials and Ladies Auxiliary members agreed preparing the route would be costly and labour-intensive, and the best way to ensure public safety is to cancel it.

The members promise a special parade next year and wish everybody a Happy Easter.
