Man bitten on nose during Oshawa fight

OSHAWA -- A man was arrested following an early morning fight that resulted in serious facial wounds.

Duty Inspector Joe Maiorano of Durham Regional Police said at around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, police were called to an address on Elgin Street in Oshawa for a fight between two men that left one with severe wounds after he was bitten on the nose.

“It was a significant bite that required stitches,” said the inspector, adding the victim was taken to hospital.

A suspect has been taken into custody but his name hasn’t been released.
