OSHAWA -- Oshawa native Jane Kelly has been appointed a justice of the Superior Court of Ontario.
Justice Kelly, daughter of well-known Oshawa lawyer Terry Kelly, is presiding in Toronto following her recent swearing-in. Her appointment was announced by the federal Justice Department in June.
Admitted to the Bar in 1990, Justice Kelly has extensive experience and has developed expertise is administrative and criminal law. In addition to working with a number of firms she served as an assistant Crown Attorney from 1994 to 1996.
Most recently Justice Kelly was associated with Kelly and Lacy.
She is the sister of This Week copy editor Tim Kelly.
