To the editor:
It is only publicly funded groups that are expecting constant increases in wage and benefits, from the "bottomless pit" of taxpayers pockets.
When is local government going to wake up and tell people to take a look around at all the plant closings, lost jobs, houses for sale signs. The real world workers are not threatening strikes anymore, they are just hoping to have a job at all.
The various groups that work for taxpayers must be told that they are lucky to have jobs at all and should learn to live on present pay levels, just like the rest of the cash cows.
