Re: Need changes at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Peggy Sawyer letter, Nov. 13.
When I read Peggy Sawyer's letter, I was very surprised this situation was still in existence.
Two years ago, my husband had several appointments at the cancer centre. I drove him to the hospital, accompanied by my son, who was there to help in any way he could. Nevertheless, when I drove up from the parking garage to the north entrance of the hospital to pick them up, I was approached by a man who began shouting at me that I couldn't park there.
I tried to tell him I was picking up my husband and son, who were in plain view approaching the car, to no avail. This man was a bully as far as I was concerned. Not much help to people who are not well and those who are trying to care for them.
The same thing happened again the next time we visited the cancer centre. I thought such treatment was a disgrace.
Too bad Lakeridge wouldn't handle their parking problems in a more humane way.
