To the editor:
This year's Santa Claus Parade was wonderful, if perhaps a little bit soggy.
Our family along with most others in town looks forward to this event every year and enjoys it completely.
Our thanks and congratulations go out to the many volunteers responsible for organizing the parade, building the floats and generally participating in the event.
While all of the floats, fillers and bands were very good, one in particular stood out to our family.
"Honky the Christmas Goose," which was entered by the Kinsmen Club, was truly wondrous in the eyes of my three and six year olds. This float, complete with flapping wings and turning head had no equal in this or any previous Bowmanville parade.
Congratulations and thank you to the Kinsmen Club. You have clearly raised the bar. We look forward to next year's parade and the wonders it will bring.
