To the editor:
Re: Conservative incumbent has his say, Sept. 26.
After reading Colin Carrie's answers to the questions asked it is very plain to see that he just doesn't get it.
Mr. Carrie saying the loss of 2,600 good-paying jobs is a good news story is proof he just doesn't get it.
Yes, it's true 2,600 GM workers will get decent packages but what about the thousands of workers at Lear, Johnson Controls, etc., who are also losing their jobs. No two-thirds wages for them.
I challenge Mr. Carrie to explain to those workers how losing their livelihood is a good news story.
I challenge him to explain to the families how it is good news to be unemployed with no job prospects.
Mr. Carrie has proven time over time that he just doesn't get it.
