DURHAM -- More auditions are being held by local theatre groups looking for actors for musicals.
Oshawa Little Theatre will hold auditions Sept. 2, 3 and 4 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. for Nuncrackers, The Nunsense Christmas musical, by Dan Goggin.
The show runs Nov. 13 to Dec. 6. Director Nina Foxall is looking for two women (nuns), ages 30 to 60s, one man (priest), age 40 to 60s, two boys and two girls, ages eight to 14. The play is presented as the first TV special taped in a special studio built in the convent basement. It features all new songs and some popular carols.
The show will be staged Nov. 13 to Dec. 6.
Those auditioning are asked to enter through the stage door at the back of the theatre, Russett Avenue, west of Simcoe Street North. Come prepared with a song and monologue/reading.

Meanwhile, OnStage Uxbridge is holding auditions Sept. 8, 9, 15 for its presentation of Camelot, which will be produced Jan. 15 to 24. Auditions will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at Uxbridge Baptist Church, 231 Brock St. W., Uxbridge. For more information, call 905-852-6157.
