Charity promotes sports leadership, programs

PICKERING -- An event in Pickering will help start leadership programs in a First Nations community in Manitoba.

On Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Su Sportz, a charitable organization that organizes sports outreach programs, is hosting an event at the Pickering Playing Fields, 1610 Bayly St, just west of Brock Road. The $15 ticket will include unlimited access to the park (mini golf, beach volleyball and batting cages) and a hot dog and pop. Raffles and prize giveaways will also take place throughout the day.
