Accused of stealing $6,000 from bank deposits

A manager at a Beaverton restaurant has been charged after allegedly pocketing over $6,000 from cash deposits.
Durham Regional Police say a shift schedule manager at the McDonald’s Restaurant on Beaver Street in Beaverton was arrested Aug. 13 after a lengthy investigation. The manager, who was responsible for bank deposits, allegedly stole a combined $6,000 on two separate occasions.
The first theft occurred in late March and the second occurred in late July 2008, said police.
Ben MacCuaig, 26, of Park Avenue in Beaverton is charged with two counts of theft under $5,000
