PICKERING -- Durham police are investigating a report that a Pickering woman was abducted at gunpoint from her driveway late Wednesday evening and later released in Toronto.

According to Durham Regional Police, the 23-year-old woman says she was abducted at 11:20 p.m. She was approached from behind by three men while unloading her car at her Westcreek Drive home in the Altona Road and Finch Avenue area of west Pickering. The men, one of whom reportedly carried a gun, forced the woman into the back seat of her car and made her crouch down. The woman was forced to provide her credit and debit cards and P.I.N.

According to police the woman was driven to Toronto and eventually released in the Ellesmere Road and Victoria Park area. She made her way to a gas station and police were later contacted. She received minor injuries. The suspects also stole her laptop computer.

The men were described as black, 18-25 years old, tall, wearing dark clothing. Their faces were covered with a dark material that had patterns on it.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed a disturbance at the noted time or who can identify the suspects to contact Detective Constable Franssen of 19 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2532.

Anonymous tips can be made to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
