DURHAM -- Kids can learn about history in a fun-filled afternoon with The Durham Regional Historical Fair coming to town.
The 5th Annual Fair is at Parkwood, The R.S. McLaughlin Estate, NHS on Friday, May 2.â?¨ Aimed at Grades 4 to 9, Historica Fairs inspire young students to explore events using a medium of their choice. Participants discover stories of Canada's past through costumes, dioramas, music, computer design and painting.
In July, 160 students will attend the National Historica Fair, hosted by Victoria, B.C. Fifteen students are representing Ontario.
The Historica Fairs Program is supported by the Hudson's Bay Company, the RBC Foundation, CN, Scotiabank Group, and the Government of Canada through Exchanges Canada, a part of the Department of Canadian Heritage.
