OSHAWA -- A new General Motors website from out of the Detroit head office is an attempt to dispel rumours surrounding the company, according to a news release.
The website, located at
www.gmfactsandfiction.com, was launched on Friday.
"The site... utilizes a conversational and direct style to help clarify many misconceptions people may have about GM," the release states.
Statements like, "GM no longer matters to the U.S. and its economy" and "GM has too many brands" are addressed.
The site plans to be interactive by allowing visitors to e-mail information about the company that they hear so it can be discussed.
