AJAX -- More than 20 charges have been laid against an Ajax teen after a violent robbery at a house party that saw a victim pistol-whipped.
Officers seized drugs and guns, including a rifle with a modified clip and a sawed-off shotgun, when they executed a search warrant at a suspect's home Wednesday, Durham police said.
The investigation began Saturday night when the 18-year-old victim told cops he'd been at a house party on Gardiner Drive where he was threatened and bashed over the head with a gun by a man demanding money. The victim fled and called police; he was treated at hospital for a gash on his head.
Police arrested a suspect on Wednesday. Police found firearms, ammunition and marijuana during a search of the suspect's Gardiner Drive home.
Kyle Richard Nash Stevens, 18, faces a variety of charges, including assault, robbery and weapons offences, as well as possession for the purpose of trafficking.
