A heavy crane toppled forward Saturday, sending the boom crashing into the corner of a Beaverton house.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. as work crews were cutting down a large tree on Beechwood Avenue.
An upper section was being hoisted away when the weight of the trunk caused the crane to topple forward and brought the boom down on the corner of a home.
The wheels of the crane platform tilted up into the air as the operator’s cab went forward, however, the operator was able to get out safely and none of the workers on the ground were hurt.
