Beaverton antiques show turns 25

Jun 05, 2009 - 09:13 AM

For the 25th year, dozens of vendors and hundreds of residents will flock to the Beaverton Antiques and Collectibles Show and Sale.

Since 1984 the event has been organized by the Beaverton-Thorah-Eldon Historical Society and has become one of the group's major fundraisers each and every year.

When it returns next weekend, approximately three dozen vendors will set up shop in the Beaverton-Thorah Community Centre offering an array of items.

"There's a wide variety of things. Pretty much anything you can think of," said Eleanor Parliament, one of the organizers of the antique show.

"And this year, we'll have at least 10 new vendors or more."

The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (June 6) and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday (June 7). Admission -- which covers both days -- costs $4 per person.

For more information, call 705-426-7808.
