May 20, 2008 - 12:20

NEAR PONTYPOOL -- A late night crash Saturday near Pontypool sent four people to hospital.

A van and a car were involved in the collision at the intersection of Hwy. 35 and Durham Regional Road 20 about 11 p.m.

Both vehicles ended up on the southwest corner of the intersection with the van on its side after rolling.  Emergency crews had to cut away the roof of the vehicle to free two people inside.

Fire crews from Pontypool and Orono were on the scene and Kawartha Lakes OPP are investigating.
