OSHAWA -- A second suspect in the gunpoint carjacking of a Canada Post employee earlier this year in Oshawa has been arrested.
Peel police charged the man April 29, a week after busting a 16-year-old Mississauga boy in connection with the same incidents. Police allege the two used an imitation handgun to steal a van from a couple in Mississauga Feb. 5, then drove the stolen vehicle to east-end Oshawa where the Canada Post employee was carjacked.
The 54-year-old Oshawa man told police he was confronted by two men, one of them with a gun, who ordered him to lie face down in the snow at a Carolyn Avenue address. One of the suspects drove off in the man's Honda, which had a bag of mail in the back seat.
Carlo Brandy, 20, is charged with robbery, using an imitation firearm, wear a disguise to commit and offence and breach of recognizance.
