AJAX -- A Whitby woman held two flags in hand as a motorcade carrying the body of the latest soldier killed in Afghanistan passed the Harwood Avenue bridge in Ajax.

Ashley Angus paid tribute in her own way while the dangers of the mission for Canadian soldiers weighed heavy on her mind.

Ms. Angus explained that one flag was for her husband who will begin a tour of duty in Afghanistan in September and the second was for a friend who is currently serving overseas.

Bridges along the Highway of Heroes were lined between Trenton and Toronto as the body of Sgt. Jason Boyes was brought home.  A repatriation ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon before the procession made its way to Toronto.
