Damage estimated at $100,000 in Courtice fire

COURTICE -- Clarington firefighters were called out to battle a blaze that damaged a Courtice townhouse and adjacent units Monday night.

Three pumpers and an aerial unit fought the fire, which began in the garage of a Birchfield Drive residence, after the call came in at 9:10 p.m., according to the Clarington fire department.

Damage to the townhouse and two adjacent units has been estimated at $100,000.
