OSHAWA -- A raging engine fire destroyed the front end of a stretch limousine on Monday afternoon.
The Oshawa fire department responded to a call at Park Road and Bloor Street where the car was on fire. The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m.
The driver of the limo pulled over as soon as he smelled smoke, fire captain John Cameron said.
Robert Allingham was passing by when he saw smoke coming from the limo.
"It looked like the radiator was boiling over," he said, and the flames "erupted" from the front end.
Mr. Allingham pulled out his digital camera and captured the breaking news as it happened.Firefighters were on the scene quickly but the flames got a head start.The fire was knocked down within minutes.
