COURTICE -- The Clarington Swim Club co-hosted a fundraising event with the Durham Distress Centre and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) at the Class Act Dinner Theatre in Whitby on May 1.

The swimmers, along with family and friends, enjoyed an evening out while raising money that will be used to offset the significant costs of pool rentals for the swimming season.

Two Junior National Level swimmers, Kayla Pearce and Kaitlyn Bosy of the Clarington Swim Club accepted a cheque on behalf of the swimmers in the amount of $5,400; $2,700 for the swim club and $2,700 for the Durham Distress Centre and MADD.

Coach Karen Hillis and all of the ROC swimmers would like to thank those who supported this important fundraiser.
