DURHAM -- Now that the deadline for registering candidates has passed, Elections Canada has issued its final list of candidates for each riding.
In Durham, there are five candidates, including Stephen Leahy of the Green Party; Andrew McKeever of the NDP; Bev Oda of the Conservative Party; Bryan Ransom of the Liberals; and, Henry Zekveld of the Christian Heritage Party.
In Oshawa riding, the candidates are: Colin Carrie for the Conservative Party; David Gershuny of the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada; Sean Godfrey of the Liberals; Pat Gostlin of the Green Party; Alex Kreider of the Canadian Action Party; Mike Shields of the New Democratic Party; and Peter Vogel of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada.
The candidates for Whitby-Oshawa riding are: Doug Anderson of the Green Party; Jim Flaherty of the Conservative Party; Yvonne Forbes of the Christian Heritage Party; Brent Fullard of the Liberal Party; and, David Purdy of the New Democratic Party.
The deadline for registering candidates was Monday.
