Aug 18, 2008 - 01:34 PM

'The King' is lending a hand to a local fundraiser.

Award-winning Elvis impersonator James Begley will be the star attraction at the Sunflowers for Cancer benefit dance Sept 6, which will raise money for the oncology department of Soldier's Memorial Hospital and the Canadian Cancer Society.

This is the second year for the fundraiser, which is held in the memory of Thorah Horan.

The event, which will also feature a DJ, will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Beaverton Curling Club.

Tickets cost $15 and are available at Maxine's Fashions and Gillespie's Hardward.

For more information, call 426-7165.
