Children's Christmas programs available at all branches

OSHAWA -- Kids can book holiday fun at Oshawa Public Libraries' branches during December.

Regular programs and special holiday week events are planned at all branches. Unless noted, programs are free, with registration at any branch.

McLaughlin branch, 65 Bagot St.

-- Pioneer Christmas, crafts, activities, stories, Dec. 7, 2 p.m., ages 6 to 12

-- Wii Play at the library, Dec. 17, 6 to 7 p.m., drop in, ages 6 to 12

-- Christmas Around the World, stories, crafts, activities, Dec. 22, 2:30 p.m., ages 6 to 12

-- Origami Ornaments, supplies provided, Dec. 23, 10:30 a.m., ages 8 to 12

-- Holiday Shorts, Christmas videos on big screen, hot chocolate, cookies, Dec. 23, 2:30 p.m., family program

-- Spongebob Squarepants Party, stories, crafts, activities, Dec. 27, 2:30 p.m., ages 5 to 10

-- New Year's Family Dance Party, Dec. 29, 2 p.m., family event.

-- Scrooge Comedy Magic Show, interactive family program, Dec. 30, 2:30 p.m.

Jess Hann branch, 199 Wentworth St. W.

-- Polar Express movie showing, Dec. 6, 2 p.m.

-- Christmas party, games, treats, crafts, special visitor, Dec. 13, 10:30 a.m., ages 4 to 10.

Northview branch, 250 Beatrice St. E.

-- Make your own planet mobile, Dec. 30, 1:30 p.m., ages 4 to 7

-- Hawaiian Luau, hula, poi, leis, crafts, Jan. 2, 10:30 a.m., ages 6 to 12.

Legends Centre branch, 1661 Harmony Rd. N.

-- Scrooge Magic Show, Dec. 30, 10:30 a.m., free tickets available Dec. 16.
