Step back in time in Pickering

PICKERING -- Fancy footwork is featured on Feb. 9 in Pickering.

The Pickering Township Historical Society meets at 7:30 p.m., welcoming Lindsey McKenna, who will summarize the development of social dance in Canada in the 19th century and discuss dance's role in society and various dances.

Afterwards, the Pickering Museum Village's Stepping in Tyme dance troupe will demonstrate various dance styles.

The meeting is at the East Shore Community Centre, 910 Liverpool Rd. (south of Hwy. 401).

Admission is free and all are welcome.
