We asked, what should the $1.35 million provincial grant go towards?

The grant should go to the community centre/arena which has greater community support, and will benefit a larger segment of the population. If the council puts the $1.35 million provincial grant toward the fountain/rink the money will no longer be available for the community centre/arena, and the town cannot afford raising any further money as the town debt has increased phenomenally in the past 5 years and any more debt will lead to increased taxes.
