OSHAWA -- Christian Thomas scored twice for the Oshawa Generals Friday, but it wasn't enough in a 6-3 loss to the Ottawa 67's.

Oshawa Generals taken down in Ottawa

November 28, 2009

OSHAWA --The Oshawa Generals ran into Tyler Toffoli and the Ottawa 67's at the wrong time.

Toffoli, who was named the OHL and CHL player of the week last week, scored three times and added two assists to lead the 67's to a 6-3 win over the Generals in the nation's capital Friday.

As has become habit, the Generals outshot the 67's in defeat, firing 48 pucks at Chris Perugini.

But, as has also become habit, Perugini outplayed the Generals' duo of Michael Zador and Kevin Bailie, who both allowed three goals. Bailie gave up his on just 11 shots in 16:50 of play.

Christian Thomas scored twice for the Generals, including a power-play tally early in the second period that gave Oshawa a 2-1 lead.

The 67's scored the next three, however, and never looked back.

Defenceman Tyler Cuma, of Bowmanville, had a goal and assist for Ottawa.

Conor Stokes scored the other Oshawa goal.

The Generals have now dropped 12 of their last 13 games and sit in last place with a record of 8-14-3-0.

They have a rare Saturday home date tonight against the Brampton Battalion (11-11-3-1), at 7:05 p.m., then play host to the Niagara IceDogs (8-15-2-2) on Grey Cup Sunday at 2:05 p.m.
