Shotgun-toting suspects rob store

CANNINGTON -- Three suspects are being sought in the gunpoint robbery of a north Durham convenience store Saturday.

Three men, one of them armed with a shotgun, robbed a Cannington convenience store clerk just before 11 p.m., Durham police said. The suspects scooped cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets into plastic containers they'd brought with them before speeding off in a Mazda MX4, police said.

No one was hurt during the robbery. The three suspects are white men, all of whom wore dark clothing and had their faces covered.
