Rollover crash in Whitby

WHITBY -- A single-vehicle collision has occurred at the intersection of Dundas Street and Fothergill Court in Whitby.

Whitby Fire and Emergency Services received a call about a rollover crash at about 3:30 p.m Friday.

Passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital, public education officer Shawna Coulter said.

"Two trucks were sent to the scene and the jaws of life had to be used to extricate both victims out of the vehicle."

The cause of the accident is unknown.
