Firefighters serve up pizza

PICKERING -- Firefighters will serve dinner for charity at Boston Pizza on Thursday.

The Celebrity Server Event will raise funds for Pickering Fire Services' charity of choice, Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The firefighters will ask for donations at the table and will sell little paper fire helmets for $2 each. They'll begin serving dinner at about 5 p.m.

Reservations are not necessary, but can be made by calling 905-427-3529. Boston Pizza is at 1899 Brock Rd. (Brock Road and Pickering Parkway).
