Police looking for driver after Oshawa hit and run

Victim listed in serious condition

OSHAWA -- A local man is in serious condition in a Toronto hospital after a hit and run on Saturday.

The 44-year-old man from Oshawa was driving westbound on Winchester Road in a Toyota Tercel when an eastbound black Ford Mustang pulled out in front of his vehicle while trying to pass another eastbound car, according to news release from Durham Regional Police Services.

The collision took place about 3 a.m. on Winchester Road between Simcoe Street and Ritson Road.

Police are looking for the driver of the Mustang, who left the scene of the collision. The driver of the Toyota was airlifted to Toronto. He is in stable condition.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have information or witnessed this incident.
