UXBRIDGE -- Durham police are searching for the driver of a car following a crash Tuesday morning.

At about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Concession 7 just south of Sandford Road in Uxbridge. One of the vehicles was several hundred metres south of the other car, a Hyundai Accent, which was badly damaged and pushed up against an embankment. The driver of the Hyundai did not appear to be injured.

According to police at the scene, the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu removed the plates of the Malibu and fled the scene. Several police cruisers converged at the site and shortly after pulled into a residence south of the crash, however no other details were immediately available.
